How to Decorate with Mirrors

Posted by Melissa Mott on

Picking out furniture is easy compared to actually having to decorate and accent your home, but that doesn't mean it's impossible! Much like artwork, hanging a mirror can create a lot more depth in a room and is pretty easy to do. Here are some different ways that you can decorate any room with mirrors.

Use it as a Statement Piece

Place a large (or floor) mirror on an easel. This is actually one of the easiest ways to "hang" artwork since you won't have to spend any time measuring or even ruin your walls by putting holes in them! Pick out an easel that will play off of your current decor and simply place a mirror on top. Ta-da! Instant statement piece.

Make it a Leaner

Instead of hanging a mirror on your wall or placing on an easel, lean it up against something. You can decorate with mirrors that are both large and small for this. Larger mirrors can be leaned on the floor against a wall or other furniture while smaller mirrors can be placed on top of a table and leaned against a bare wall.

Create an Accent Wall

If you want to do something more exciting than just hanging one simple mirror, create a wall of mirrors! And make it eclectic. You don't have to make all of these mirrors the same shape, size, style, color, or even hang at the same height—that's what makes it even more beautiful! An accent wall of mirrors is perfect for you to express your creativity and will also almost always come out great.
