After all the glitz and glam of holiday lights and garland are gone, your room can seem empty and boring, but there are some easy ways you can update your decor and bring some of that pizzazz to your home all year round!
Keep it Bright and Cheery
Your red and green twinkle lights may have come down, but candles are a great way to keep the mood of your home bright and cheery and create a focal point to awe your guests. Candles are also cost efficient and easy to swap out whenever you’re in the mood for a change of scenery or scent!
Try mixing different sizes as well as jar and tin candles in exciting designs with a few pieces you already own, like vintage frames or a small clock, to create a mantle or table display that really wows. Tip: Be innovative—try using books or even old wine glasses as risers.
Add Some Color
The right pillows can bring a drab couch to life, and are a simple way to bring color and pattern into your living room.
With a few more months of chilly nights in store, a nice warm blanket is a must for cuddling up on the couch. The right throw can keep you warm and bring a pop of color and texture to your sofa.
Create a Statement Wall
Hang a large piece of art that speaks to you or a fun patterned rug to create a unique statement wall that is sure to get as much attention as your dazzling holiday tree did. Dual-purpose wall hangings are trending this year, plus next year when you refresh your home you can take down the rug and use it under your living room upholstery for a brand new look.
