With warmer weather just around the corner, everyone can't seem to get one thing off of their mind: the beach! Bring the coastal vibe into your home and create your own Beach Bungalow to enjoy for just this season or all year long.

Here's how to create the perfect Beach Bungalow look:

Get the Basics

When you're living in a shore home, you're going to need furniture that will protect itself. The harshness of salt water, sand, and the drips from melting popsicles is enough to completely destroy your beautiful couch. However, a couch covered in Sunbrella fabric will make it completely stain-resistant to just about anything. The part is that you only need to clean it with water to get the mess out!

Set the Mood

Illume Candles at Kensington FurnitureNext, you can't think about just the look of your home. You also need to have the right aroma to really turn that coastal vision for your home into a true Beach Bungalow. Light a Pineapple Cilantro candle and envision yourself in the middle of a tropical island. Maybe your love for the Jersey shore is too strong and you'd rather inhale Illume's classic Watermint scent that will give you a breath of fresh air. No matter what, giving your home a beachy aroma is a must.

Accessorize

Now that you have the basic covered, the last thing you need to do is accessorize! Set a table lamp with a burlap shade on your end table, place a decorative conch shell on your coffee table, or (my favorite) throw a few pillows with a coral design on your couch! The possibilities are practically endless when it comes to decorating a beach home.

If you don't want your house to be filled with the classic beach elements like coral and seashells, you can always go a little more subtle and pick out a coffee table made to look like driftwood or throw in random pops of brights colors like pinks, oranges, and yellows.
